Hot Mill Mechanical Maintenance Coordinator chez Steel Dynamics, Inc.

Organize mechanical maintenance in the hot mill. Work with Millwrights to plan, participate in and lead maintenance related activities. Support day to day operations activities as required. Direct contractors / vendors for maintenance repairs / spare parts.

• An excellent safety record, communication skills, and self-starting, creative, organized, motivated work ethic.
• Extensive rolling mill mechanical maintenance experience including knowledge of hydraulic systems, grease systems, pneumatic systems, combustion systems, driveline power transmission, rotating equipment and alignment
• Ability to read mechanical and hydraulic prints; navigate BOM and part cut sheets 
• A strong ability to work with, and lead others.
• Demonstrated troubleshooting skills to identify the root cause of a problem
• Participate in the prioritization of jobs, develop work scope, develop repair procedures, ordering and staging of parts.
• Support shift millwrights
• Ability to use Microsoft fundamental programs
• Excellent attendance record.
• Mechanical Training and/or technical degree(s) preferred.
