Oncology Nurse Navigator RN
The principal responsibility of the Navigator RN is to efficiently facilitate the patient and family's navigation throughout the health care system. The Navigator supports patients from the initial referral through diagnosis and the development of a treatment plan, ensuring ongoing communication and seamless transitions during each phase of the patient's care journey. A team-based approach and collaboration are essential elements of the navigator, providing clinical insights to all members of the team. Activities encompass delivering disease-specific education and information, facilitating referral navigation, disseminating knowledge regarding available treatment options, accelerating patient access to diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, connecting patients with pertinent resources, offering continuous support to both patients and their families, and addressing barriers of care.

Required Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Nursing -OR- Coursework/Training: Graduate of accredited school of nursing (diploma)
- Upon hire: Texas Registered Nurse License
- Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
- Within 1 year of hire: National certification in area of practice
- 3 or more years of experience in field of specialty for associate's degree or diploma prepared RN
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Upon hire: National certification in area of practice
- 1 or more years of experience in field of specialty for BSN
