Altamira has an open position for a highly qualified and talented Director of Contracts, with proven record and performance in the U.S. Government contracting role at our McLean or Warrenton, Virginia, location.
- Government and Commercial contracts management, throughout the contract lifecycle, including:
- Negotiation of various contractual agreements and instruments with customers, teaming partners and vendors, such as prime contracts, subcontract agreements, pricing, Teaming Agreements and Nondisclosure Agreements,
- Leading the proposal cost volume preparation, compliance, rate negotiations, profitability analyses, risk mitigation, subcontract management, purchasing, and contract closeouts,
- Supporting proposal preparations in response to government solicitations, such as IDIQs, Task Orders, BAAs, GSA Schedules, etc.
- Support audits of Company systems, processes, and schedules, as required,
- Work closely with Program Management and Operations, Business Development & Capture teams, Proposal teams, Finance and Accounting and other functions to achieve the desired results
- Bachelor’s degree is required; Master's degree and/or professional certification is preferred
- At least 10 years of experience in government contracts management, subcontracts management and pricing; at least 5 years of supervisory experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance; existing clearance is highly desirable
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Results driven, proven track record of successfully managing priorities and contractual matters, building and mentoring a team of high performers
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of tools (SharePoint, Word, Excel, MS Project, Outlook)
- Self-starter with ability to work independently
- High energy, enthusiasm, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment across all the organizations in the Company
- General knowledge of Deltek software
- Knowledge and prior use of Costpoint, GovWin, is helpful in this position, but not required
