About the Role
We are looking for a highly energetic and driven professional to join our Sales team as a Business Development Representative (BDR) based in our downtown Tampa office. This role is ideal for motivated self-starters with tenacity and a strong desire to grow within the company. As a BDR, you will be at the forefront of fueling Harness’s growth by generating new business opportunities and partnering closely with Account Executives.

What You’ll Do
- Learn the ins and outs of a rapidly growing business and sales process
- Drive new business growth and fuel Harness’s expansion efforts
- Create great first impressions with prospects and customers by delivering a world-class experience
- Partner with Account Executives to fill their pipelines and develop your sales skills
- Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads using creative follow-up communications
- Research and build new and existing accounts through adding contacts, sending emails, and strategic calling
- Conduct high-level conversations with senior executives in prospective accounts
- Consistently achieve monthly quotas of qualified opportunities and closed business
Qualifications
Required:
- Proven track record of success in prospecting and generating new business
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Fluency in English
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Motivation, drive, and a self-starting attitude
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
- Ability to multitask, take initiative, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Comfortable working in an in-office environment
Preferred:
- Previous experience in SaaS or technology sales
- Experience engaging with nonprofit organizations or mission-driven companies
- Familiarity with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, HubSpot)
- Ability to handle objections and navigate complex conversations
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Compensation
$50,000 - $60,000 a year
This position requires candidates to be located and legally authorized to work in the United States. Starting pay will be determined based on job-related skills, experiences, qualifications, work location and market conditions. The current salary for this position is $40,000 USD per year with uncapped commissions per year.
