As an Associate Project Engineer - Project Hire responsible for the technical, architectural, and facilities engineering project coordination and integration of Design & Planning (D+P) disciplines, from conceptual design through construction for a specific land, park, or resort project. This includes coordination efforts with Creative, Show, and Ride teams.
You will report to Studio Executive Design Management and Engineering.
This is a Project Hire position without any guarantee of permanent placement.
What You Will Do:
Assist Project Engineer or Design Manager in the architecture and facilities engineering project coordination and integration from conceptual design through construction of themed entertainment projects.
Assists in facilitating technical coordination of A/E design documents, models, specs, basis of design among Environmental Design & Engineering (ED&E) design disciplines and across WDI Divisions (Show, Ride, Creative), and in consideration of programmatic requirements (Operational Stakeholders)
Assists in coordinating the document release process between disciplines and document control specialist (plot coordination, repro and digital/physical distribution)
Assist in organizing and facilitating big room/ICE (Integrated Concurrent Engineering) sessions, design reviews
Assist with quality assurance and control, both of design documentation as well as field construction Assist in the resolution of questions arising from construction documents, field conditions and contractor requests for information
Tracking of facility punch lists
Coordinate document release process between disciplines and document control specialist (plot coordination, repro and digital/physical distribution)
Provide technical input to other project team members as required to assist with project decision-making and settling of contractor change orders
Resolve questions arising from construction documents, field conditions and contractor requests for information
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum 1 year of experience
Knowledgeable in the use of computer technology in the CADD generation of drawings
Strong problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
Working knowledge of Building Information Management (BIM)
Education:
Bachelor’s of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or architecture required
Advanced degree desired but not required

The hiring range for this position in Glendale, CA is $87,100 - $116,800 per year. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
