Community Supports DSP / Transportation Driver

About the Role
Join a mission-driven team that empowers individuals with developmental disabilities to live, learn, and thrive in their communities. As a Community Supports Direct Support Professional (DSP) and Transportation Driver, you will provide safe and reliable transportation while assisting individuals in achieving greater independence and personal goals.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their day, values teamwork, and doesn’t mind stepping in wherever needed — from driving routes to coaching in Special Olympics or helping with evening/weekend recreation events.
What You’ll Do
- Safely operate and inspect agency vehicles daily
- Transport individuals to appointments, programs, and community activities
- Assist with daily living skills such as personal hygiene, grooming, dressing, and meal support
- Encourage independence, community engagement, and skill-building
- Document services, transportation logs, and communication accurately
- Support Recreation and Special Olympics programs as needed, including some evenings or weekends
What We’re Looking For
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable team players
- Minimum 25 years of age
- High school diploma or GED required
- Valid Chauffeur’s License, or willingness to obtain
- CPR, First Aid, Nonviolent Crisis Intervention, and Medication Aide certifications, or willingness to obtain
- Reliable and safe transportation
- Ability to be flexible and “go with the flow” — every day is different
Pay & Schedule
- $20/hour
- Full-time, flexible hours between two programs: Community Supports and Life Opportunities
- Participation in Special Olympics coaching and Recreation events required, which may include evenings or weekends
