Pay: $2,253.60/week (plus $2,500 completion bonus per contract, up to $7,500 after three contracts)

Job Description

ATC Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment in Racine, Wisconsin. The RN will provide expert nursing care to critically ill patients requiring complex monitoring, advanced interventions, and life-sustaining therapies such as ventilator management and continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT).

The ideal candidate has strong ICU experience, proficiency with EPIC EMR, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment. Candidates must be flexible to float within their skill set or to nearby affiliated facilities within 40 miles as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver safe, high-quality nursing care to critically ill patients requiring intensive monitoring and life support.
• Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters, cardiac rhythms, and neurological assessments.
• Manage mechanical ventilators, arterial lines, and CRRT equipment in accordance with facility protocols.
• Administer IV medications, blood products, and vasoactive drips per provider orders.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Respond quickly to emergencies, including cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, and hemodynamic instability.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation using the EPIC EMR system.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and recovery expectations.
• Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and facility policies.
• Float as needed to units of similar or lower acuity or to affiliated sites within 40 miles.

Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact State license (required).
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).
• Minimum of 1 year of recent ICU/Critical Care experience (required).
• Certifications: BLS and ACLS (required); NIHSS and PALS preferred.
• Proficiency in CRRT, ventilator management, and arterial line monitoring.
• Strong assessment, prioritization, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with EPIC EMR (required).
• Flexibility to float to nearby facilities within a 40-mile radius when required.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and crisis management skills.
• Proof of COVID-19 vaccination and recent tuberculosis test required.
