The Electrical Engineer plays a key role in designing a wide range of commercial cooking equipment. The engineer has the opportunity to be involved with implementing and supporting new products, product improvements, product enhancements, customization, and solving customer-related problems. In addition, the engineer will design extensions to current product lines to meet the needs of a diverse customer base and find creative solutions to application problems that occur on our mature products.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Work on clearly defined projects involving a limited amount of complexity.
- Participate in regular reviews of work output.
- Apply knowledge to resolve problems and make minor changes independently.
- Prepare documentation for development, validation, release, and maintenance of the system.
- Assist manufacturing and tech services with all aspects of system testing and troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional team members to achieve project/product objectives.
- Develop skills and product knowledge by working closely with more experienced engineers.
- Complete tasks that support the overall schedule and clearly communicate status.
- Assist in the development of user/tech manuals.
- Follow all regulatory procedures for ISO, UL, CE, and others as required.
- Maintain an organized and clean lab/project environment.
- Follow system specifications and formal representations of solutions to create, modify, test, and maintain system hardware and electronics.
- Investigate component substitutions for end-of-life and cost savings.
- Perform basic bench/lab tests and diagnoses of electrical systems using test protocols.
- Assist with the creation and maintenance of component libraries and approved vendors.
- Consistently models the Company Values and Expected Behaviors.
- Completes other duties as assigned.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering
- Collaborative style and a passion for learning, laughing and achieving
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail
- Basic understanding of digital and analog electronics, including audio and touch controllers
- Basic understanding of microprocessor internals
- Ability to create and review schematics
- Ability to effectively use test equipment such as a multimeter, oscilloscope, and power meter
- Ability to do basic soldering and use hand tools
- Ability to perform root cause basic troubleshooting of electrical systems and components
- Basic understanding and ability to use MS Office Suite (Word/Excel/PowerPoint)
