The Mortgage Processor II is responsible for a full range of mortgage loan processing functions from accepting originated loan applications, through ensuring the loan package is fully prepared for closing. They interact frequently with borrowers, real estate agents and third parties to ensure requirements are met and the loan funds on time, creating an outstanding borrower experience.

What you will do here:

Maintain and process a loan pipeline which includes purchases and refinances. Review loan documents to ensure validity, calculate/confirm qualifying income from a variety of sources and income types in accordance with established guidelines and mitigate the potential for unnecessary loss.

Assess appraisal reports to ensure collateral eligibility. Review preliminary title report to ensure all necessary requirements are met for title insurance and lien perfection.

Ensure all borrower, credit, and collateral documents submitted are accurate, compliant, and relevant with investor guidelines. Prioritize and assemble documentation in accordance with investor requirements to ensure file is adequately documented and prepared for underwriting and loan approval.

Validate source data to verify completeness and accuracy by assessing the documentation and services necessary for approval. Relay any additional items needed if applicable. Ensure disclosures have been provided within the required timeframes and are accurate and within acceptable tolerances.

Maintain regular communication with borrowers, loan officers, internal staff, title companies, real estate agents and other third parties to respond to inquiries, problem solve, ensure the timely closing of loans and provide an outstanding borrower experience.

Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

What you will need:

High School Diploma or GED required.

2+ years of Mortgage Processing experience required.

Demonstrated understanding of Conventional and Government mortgage lending guidelines, principles and practices required.

Excellent Communication skills – ability to effectively communicate and present information both in person and over the phone; effective written and verbal communication required.

Effective time management skills with ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multi-task throughout the day required.

Ability to work under tight deadlines and to meet those deadlines effectively required.

Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) required.

Spanish language fluency preferred.
