Licensing Coordinator
Purpose: The Licensing Coordinator executes all trade/business license applications and renewals for multiple trades and markets. Primary responsibilities include researching license/ratio requirements for new markets, executing license renewals, and continuing education for existing markets.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the entire cycle of licensing, from new market discovery to license completion
- Register employees for their respective testing requirements
- Ensures compliance with all federal, state, county and city license requirements
- Executes the renewal process prior to expiration each month
- Monthly reporting and tracking of expired licenses for both subcontractors and KMS employees
- Register new employees, transfers and/or trade licenses through the appropriate state agencies.
- Maintain the license database and ensure all subcontractor and KMS employee information is current/accurate
- Register license holders for their respective continuing education courses
- Conduct due diligence for license requirements to enter new markets
- Assist at Kimbel Plumbing school from 4-8 PM on Thursday evenings
Qualifications:
- Organization skills: must be able to prioritize daily tasks
- Extreme attention to detail
- Troubleshooting techniques: i.e. cold calling government offices and testing providers
- Problem solving
- Perseverance
- Relationship development with government officials, employees and subcontractors
- Must be a team player with communication skills to field employees, providing exceptional customer service
- Must have thorough knowledge of Google classroom, and be able to help develop trade school curriculum and activities.
