Inventory Control & Materials Specialist Needed
Cummings Electrical, a leading electrical contractor in the DFW area, is expanding! Our Integrated Manufacturing business specializes in creating world-class modular electrical buildings for mission-critical clients. This role involves hands-on material handling, accurate documentation, and close coordination with production teams to ensure timely availability of materials. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and eager to contribute to a high-performance environment. 
- Record inventory movements in the WMS and other inventory systems, maintaining accurate, real-time stock levels.
 - Conduct regular cycle counts and assist with full physical inventory counts, reporting discrepancies to the Inventory Supervisor.
 - Receive, inspect, and verify incoming materials and equipment, ensuring proper documentation and condition.
 - Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment safely to move and store materials.
 - Organize inventory to ensure materials are easily accessible for production and operational needs.
 - Ensure materials, components, and finished goods are available to meet production schedules.
 - Assist in moving materials to the appropriate warehouse and production areas to maintain workflow.
 - Process inventory transactions, including stock adjustments, returns, and order fulfillment.
 - Participate in audits to confirm inventory accuracy and compliance with safety and quality standards.
 - Follow safety protocols for material handling and equipment use, maintaining an organized and hazard-free work environment.
 - Generate inventory reports and assist the Inventory Supervisor and Warehouse Manager with administrative or operational tasks as needed.
 - Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
 
Work Schedule:
- Monday–Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (subject to business needs)
 - Occasional Saturdays as required
 - During active projects, hours may shift to 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM, with some Saturdays
 
- Certification and experience operating forklifts and other material-handling equipment.
 - Familiarity with Warehouse Management Software (WMS) or other inventory tracking systems.
 - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word for inventory reporting and documentation.
 - Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with a record of maintaining or improving inventory accuracy.
 - Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and best practices.
 - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
 - Demonstrated initiative and teamwork; ability to support and guide peers in inventory or warehouse procedures.
 - Comfortable stepping into a leadership role when needed to support operational flow and team performance.
