Position Title: Warehouse Manager
Location: Belleville, IL
Department: Operations
Position reports to: Director of Operations
Primary purpose and function of position:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, including team leadership, inventory management, regulatory compliance, and process optimization. This role plays a critical part in ensuring efficient and safe operations while maintaining high standards of service.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage, lead, motivate and develop department personnel including selection, performance evaluations and employee relations
• Effectively manage both union and non-union employees
• Plan and schedule manpower to meet the demands of the following warehouse activities: receiving and unloading brewery loads, loading pallets and cooperage returns, loading/unloading route trucks, re-packing breakage, quality control and maintaining warehouse cleanliness
• Management new item slotting and necessary adjustments of product locations
• Training and set up on voice pick equipment
• Training and recertification on forklift operations
• Direct responsibilities for managing budget and expenses
• Maintain inventory, stock rotation and product flow procedures
• Ensure compliance with government safety regulations and requirements
• Oversight and enforcement of all Company safety rules
• Required night, weekend and holiday availability for management and shift observation
• Participate in grievance proceedings and workers compensations claims when necessary
• Ensure compliance with all legal guidelines, policies, Wholesales Equity Agreement and Ambassador of Excellence
• Adhere to all Federal, State, and Local Liquor regulations
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School diploma or GED certificate required
• 3 years operations management experience preferred
• Labor relations experience preferred
• Strong analytical problem solving and critical thinking skills with strong attention to detail
• Highly organized with ability to manage priorities and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously
• Ability to work with minimal supervision
• Ability to safely operate job related equipment
• Knowledge of local, state and federal liquor laws
• Knowledge of safety, environmental and Department of Transportation requirements
• Professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including effective presentation skills
• Strong leadership and influence skills
• Strong internal and external customer orientation
• Highly self-motivated and positive attitude
• Technology proficiency; including MS Office, VIP preferred
• Regular and reliable attendance required
• Valid driver license and safe driving record
• Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends, and some holidays as needed
• Ability to pass a required pre-employment background and drug screening
• Ability to perform all essential job functions and duties as assigned
