Material Handling Trainee

What You’ll Do:

  • Participate in classroom training sessions focused on products, applications, and customers
  • Engage in hands-on training with teammates within each discipline to learn processes, apply classroom knowledge, and troubleshoot
  • Complete actual quotes, orders, and strategic projects as appropriately assigned by the supervisor
  • Work in a manufacturing environment to gain hands-on experience learning how the products are made
  • The trainee must always be on time, on site, and available as defined by the supervisor, regardless of the location and department in which they are currently being trained
  • Utilize all required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working at Martin Sprocket & Gear manufacturing locations or customer sites

What You’ll Bring:

  • Minimum 4-year degree in sales, business, or engineering preferred
  • Preferred experience in industrial manufacturing or process industries
  • Excellent interpersonal skills proven by the development of strong internal and external relationships
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multitask, and maintain meticulous attention to detail
  • Team player who enjoys collaborating with others
  • Strong mechanical and manufacturing aptitude
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word)

Your Schedule:

  • 1st Shift, Monday – Friday,  8:00 AM -  5:00 PM
