Position Overview:
The Senior Analyst, Sales Operations is primarily responsible for the development and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs) related to our commercial objectives and performance. These KPIs will be designed to uncover insights needed to make data-driven decisions on commercial objectives and priorities. Insights will cover a broad range of areas including Direct to Customer marketing (DTC), alignment and effectiveness of commercial incentives, organic demand generation, marketing campaigns, sales excellence (e.g. territory planning), field expansion, and patient segmentation.
Working in a dynamic, collaborative team environment, the successful candidate will support Insulet’s commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated ability to comprehend business process and context, while also having the technical skills needed to develop and report-out insights at all levels of the organization. This is a hands-on role playing a key position in driving the growth of Insulet over the next several years!
Responsibilities:
Deliver Program-Focused Analytics
Analyze performance and trends across the Sampling program to evaluate growth opportunities and operational improvements
Conduct ad-hoc analysis and answer data-related questions from the field and leadership, collaborating with operations and analytics teams as needed
Design and maintain interactive dashboards in Power BI and Tableau to provide timely, actionable insights to field teams and leadership
Leverage SQL queries and data automation tools to streamline reporting processes and ensure timely delivery of insights
Coordinate Program Operations
Plan, organize, and execute activities that support sampling objectives, including creating target lists for sales representatives
Work closely with commercial teams to align program tasks with broader sales and marketing initiatives
Execute ad hoc tasks as required to support continuous improvement and program effectiveness
Ensure Data & Inventory Readiness
Maintain accurate program files and assets, ensuring they are ready for use according to established deadlines
Coordinate with vendor partners to confirm sufficient sample inventory is on hand to meet volume and territory allocations
Manage Vendor Support
Collaborate with vendor partners and field sales to resolve open items impacting sample kit orders
Prioritize and respond to Field Sales inquiries promptly and professionally
Resolve Program Issues
Research, troubleshoot, and resolve operational challenges in partnership with field sales, vendor partners, commercial teams, and program leadership
Monitor daily program progress and address any unanticipated activities to keep the program on track
Education and Experience:
Minimum Requirements:
4 or more years of experience working in commercial analytical roles of increasing responsibility.
Bachelor's degree (preferred field of study: finance, accounting, marketing, economics, or information technology).
Experience driving commercial/sales process improvement.
Experience working with salesforce.com, and other analytical tools.
Advanced Microsoft excel (including VBA, Power Quarry), SQL and salesforce.com dashboard and reporting skills
Preferred Requirements:
Knowledge of salesforce.com concepts including standard object features, console configuration, workflows, validation rules, Process Builder, Visual Flow, reporting, security settings, role hierarchy, Salesforce Lightning
Proven ability to provide business analysis and system development/configuration deliverables related to process improvement.
Skills/Competencies:
Proficient in reporting and analysis tools (Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Salesforce) and capable of implementing data automation workflows to improve efficiency
Demonstrated ability to develop and communicate KPIs, insights and related recommendations.
Strong analytical skills to collect, interpret, and report on sampling data
Advanced proficiency to analyze large datasets and track KPIs, trends, and anomalies in sampling activity
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with internal teams and external partners
Ability to manage vendor relationships and providers to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant execution of sampling programs
Skilled at balancing competing priorities under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
Capacity to quickly learn and master new concepts, tools, and processes in a fast-paced environment
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and contributing to clarify processes, tools, and roles
Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and critical thinking
Physical Requirements:
Travel requirements: Limited travel may be required, once or twice a year on average.

Additional Information:
The US base salary range for this full-time position is $81,825.00 - $122,737.50. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position in the primary work location in the US. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
