The University of Nevada, Las Vegas invites applications for Sales & Promotion Representative 1, UNLV Integrated Marketing - Graphics Services [ R0149454]
ROLE of the POSITION
The Sales & Promotion Representative will provide support for Integrated Graphics Services, which is a part of the Division of Integrated Marketing and Branding.
Under general supervision, the Sales & Promotion Representative is responsible for department sales, along with job intake and job processing operations of Integrated Graphics Services (IGS). This position is the first point of contact with IGS customers and will have frequent interaction with customers concerning job requirements and recommendations. This includes an overall evaluation of needs and capabilities to produce work and make suggestions to customers for cost-effective measures for the production of their work. This position provides order estimates, opens and maintains work orders, maintains production scheduling, vendor outsource communications, job status communication, and works with internal production personnel, supervisors, and managers to establish turnaround times, create job specifications, and maintain workflow. It also oversees customer proof cycles and communicates proof status to production supervisors, maintains work-in-process schedules and participates in daily production meetings, oversees online ordering procedures and checks customer input for accuracy and correct format, maintains off-campus vendor and supplier records, and communicates job order and scheduling information with vendors. It additionally evaluates completed work orders for accurate charges, consults with supervisors and managers to ensure proper charges are accounted for, and makes corrections as needed to charges prior to billing, provides administrative support as directed or assigned, performs backup for AP/AR, and provides department marketing input and strategic planning assistance.
PROFILE of the DEPARTMENT/COLLEGE
Integrated Graphics Services (IGS) is the unit within the UNLV Marketing and Branding Division that is responsible for the design and production of all UNLV collateral materials, including printed products, banners and signage, hard goods and apparel, and graphic design. The Unit works with various stakeholders across all of UNLV as a one-stop facility. Services include consultation, design, and production through both internal and external partner resources. IGS is located next to the Lied Library with a retail operation in the student union, which is also an authorized US Passport issuing office.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in marketing, advertising, English, journalism, public relations or related field; OR graduation from high school or equivalent education and two years of progressively responsible experience in the sales, marketing and promotion of a product line including writing advertisements and other promotional materials, and the use of direct mail techniques; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

- Knowledge of graphic and design software.

SALARY
Grade 29, Step 1, salary $50,153.76
In accordance with Nevada Administrative Code (NAC) 284.170, initial appointments to classified positions typically begin at Step 1 of the assigned grade. A "Step" refers to the specific rate of pay within a grade, as determined by the Division of Human Resources.
