Cloud Operations Lead chez ManTech

MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer oriented Cloud Operations Lead to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.  This is a hybrid position with 1-2 days onsite and 2-3 days remote. As the Operations Lead, you will have the opportunity to grow and lead the Cloud Operations Team for a NAVSEA cloud infrastructure program. The Cloud Ops team includes technical, security and programmatic related requirements as well as providing ongoing support to the engineering and cyber teams. You will collaborate with a skilled team of peer leads and be responsible for the day-to-day management of the operations team. This position offers a great opportunity for managerial growth and experience in engineering and operational management. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Managing tasks and resources assigned to the Cloud Operations Team, and reporting on requirements and performanceServe as a member of the Change Management (CM) Board and collaborate with engineering and cyber leads to develop cross domain solutions for new requirementsUtilizing existing task and resource management methods and supporting the further maturity of those processes in alignment with program direction and guidancePropose and implement new tools and techniques to improve the management and efficiency of cloud operationsManaging and maintaining the program’s online knowledgebase to include program and technical documentation, processes, and policiesDeveloping and documenting Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and processes for operational taskingEnforcing programmatic standards for official and internal documentation and deliverablesManaging the team help desk and providing monitoring and metrics on the performance of the help deskResearch and assess emerging technologies and methods from the DoD, DoN, and commercial sectors for potential program integration and innovationTravel up to 25%Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, or related technical area6+ years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in engineering, cybersecurity, or operations, and 2+ years of experience working with cloud systems deployed at multiple Impact Levels (IL2, IL4, IL6) within DoD-approved Cloud Service Providers (e.g., AWS, Azure)Must have experience managing technical teams and/or projectsAn active CompTIA Security+ certification or a higher-level DoD-approved security certification is requiredMust obtain the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification or any AWS Associate- or Professional-level certification within three months of hireMust be familiar with federal compliance and guidance, including FISMA, RMF, Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework, DoDAF, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, NIST 800 series, FedRAMP and cloud-based security controlsExperience with cloud brokerages, preferably NavyPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree5+ years cloud experience in engineering or operationsFamiliarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) based architectureFamiliarity with Git, GitHub, and MarkdownAWS Certified Cloud Practitioner and/or any AWS associate or professional level certificationClearance Requirements:Must have an active Secret security clearancePhysical Requirements:Prolonged periods of sitting or remaining in a stationary position.Ability to move throughout the office and operate standard office equipment as needed.Regularly required to communicate with coworkers, management, and customers, including delivering presentations and sharing information accurately and clearly.Must be able to interact and communicate professionally with ManTech employees, clients, and stakeholders.
