In the UK, we own, operate and are significantly developing the 370 acre top tier COMAH site Saltend Chemicals Park (SCP.) With a cluster of world-class chemicals and renewable energy businesses, it’s strategically positioned on the UK’s busiest ports complex and at the forefront of our energy transition plans. 
 
The Opportunity

We are now recruiting for a Technical Services Joiner. The primary responsibilities of the role include contributing to a multi-disciplinary Technical Services Team at Saltend Chemicals Park (SCP), delivering safe and efficient maintenance, breakdown support, installation works and engineering services. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Comple all assigned tasks within own competence to required SHEQ and business standards and times including but not limited to investigation, troubleshooting, planned repair scopes, preventative and predictive maintenance, equipment installation and projects.
  • Assist maintenance planners and supervisors in the identification, specification and purchase requisition of spares necessary to carry out the job.
  • Complete all aspects of building repairs involving carpentry, to include: Door frame design, manufacturing, modification and installation, glazing sizing, manufacturing, installation & repairs.
  • Project work to include installation of kitchens, WC facilities, permit bars, offices, internal walls, floors, ceilings, roofing and other building structures

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Minimum Requirements

  • NVQ level 3 in carpentry & joinery or equivalent 
  • Site safety passport or equivalent.
  • Previous experience of working in a joinery workshop or 1st & 2nd fix onsite.
  • Joinery and carpentry experience including door frame design, manufacturing, modification, and installation, glazing sizing, manufacturing, installation and repairs.
  • Experience in installation of kitchens & WC facilities
  • Strong knowledge of SHEQ procedures and best practices.
