Senior Development Manager chez Crytek

We are looking for a Senior Development Manager to join our Hunt: Showdown team in our state-of-the-art Frankfurt studio. As Senior Development Manager, you will drive the delivery of one or more sub teams, ensuring alignment with Hunt: Showdown’s overall strategy and milestones. You will be responsible for planning, tracking, and improving delivery, implementing the project’s operational model, and fostering an environment of collaboration and excellence across disciplines.

Responsibilities

Own and drive the delivery of your assigned sub team’s goals, ensuring alignment with project-wide milestones and priorities.

Develop detailed delivery plans, schedules, and workflows to meet objectives on time and within budget.

Coordinate dependencies and collaboration with other sub teams to ensure smooth integration of work.

Implement and maintain the operational model at the sub team level, ensuring consistent processes and efficient workflows.

Collaborate with the Development Director on resource and talent planning to meet delivery needs.

Foster a healthy and motivated team culture aligned with Crytek’s values and Hunt: Showdown’s creative vision.

Anticipate and manage risks, proactively resolving bottlenecks and delivery issues.

Ensure deliverables meet agreed quality standards and integrate seamlessly into the project.

Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders, providing regular progress updates and reports.

Promote operational excellence by identifying process improvements and empowering team members to perform at their best.

Requirements

5+ years of experience as a Senior Project Manager, Producer, or Development Manager in game development or software projects.

Proven track record of successfully delivering complex, multi-disciplinary projects in a live or AAA development environment.

Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Kanban, SAFe, Waterfall) and their practical application at team level.

Excellent organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and align cross-functional teams.

Strong communication and collaboration skills across disciplines and stakeholders.

Demonstrated ability to identify risks and drive solutions proactively.

Experience with resource planning, scheduling, and task prioritization.

Passion for high-quality game development and operational excellence.

Fluent English skills and strong interpersonal communication abilities.

Willingness to relocate to Frankfurt am Main, Germany.

Pluses

Experience working on live-service or GaaS projects.

Familiarity with CryEngine or other AAA game engines.

Background in technical production, design, or programming.

Experience managing distributed or hybrid teams.

Strong interest in online multiplayer shooters or horror-themed games.
