As a Sales Lead you will: 

  • Use product knowledge to demonstrate features and benefits, while assisting customers in making informed decisions on their appliance purchase based on their needs and wants.
  • Assisting customers while explaining purchase, product protection plans, and financing options including calculating the cost and payment due and collects customer payments.
  • Consistently exceed minimum sales criteria established for sales, gross margins, and product protection plans and maintains a clean book of business.
  • Accurately and efficiently processes sales orders, including entering the order into the system.
  • Demonstrate a passion for customer service; resolves own customer issues quickly and follows up to ensure satisfaction and handles escalated customer issues for the team as needed.
  • Handle incoming phone calls quickly and courteously including making follow-up calls on existing quotes.
  • Manages customers’ sales orders through to delivery or pick-up, keeping the customer, Building Trades Client, and Building Trades Account Specialist informed of the status and ensuring pre-site checklist is completed and the client is ready for installation.
  • Regularly reviews reports and open sales orders to effectively manage book of business and accounts receivable.
  • Sells to builder customers, keeping the Building Trades Account Specialist, Builder, and customer informed throughout the process.
  • Trains and mentors new sales team members.
  • Assists with other store management duties as needed including checking in inventory, floor plan, processing returns and credits, handling escalated customer issues for the team, being a resource for the team, and keeping management informed of issues that arise.

To succeed in this role, one must have:

  • Extensive product knowledge
  • Appliance installation knowledge
  • Excellent sales skills
  •  Ability to be professional and provide a high level of customer service in interaction with external and internal customers 
  •  Ability to train and coach new and existing associates 
  • Thorough understanding of department processes and policies 
  • Has good attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work and documentation

Requirements: 

  • Previous appliance sales experience with demonstrated success
  • Prior training, mentoring, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Ability to work on cross-functional teams
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English
  • Ability to be consistent and reliable with attendance, work product, and service level
