Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of municipal engineering projects, including scope development, budgeting, design, permitting, and construction administration.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for municipal clients, ensuring effective communication and strong client relationships.
- Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary project teams, including civil, structural, environmental, and utility engineers.
- Prepare and review technical reports, design plans, specifications, and cost estimates.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, and quality assurance processes.
- Assist in the preparation of proposals, qualifications packages, and presentations for new project opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and permitting requirements.
- Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers and designers.
- Represent the firm at public meetings, council sessions, and client presentations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; Master’s degree preferred.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in municipal engineering, with demonstrated project management responsibilities.
- Proven experience in the design and management of municipal infrastructure projects such as roadways, water distribution, sanitary sewer, and stormwater systems.
- Strong knowledge of applicable municipal design standards, permitting processes, and funding programs.
- Excellent project management, communication, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in engineering and design software such as AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with GIS a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation
The projected compensation range for this position is $115,00 to $150,000. Actual compensation will depend on factors such as experience, education and skill set.
