Job Summary
The field engineer is responsible of the installation and the maintenance of custom machines (material handling & fastening systems) at Preston workshop & mainly at customer plants. Focused on quality and safety.
12-month fixed-term contract with extension option
Responsibilities
- Set up machines at Preston for sign off with the customers
- Organise delivery to the end user
- Manage the installations in autonomy (prevention plans, lifting means, etc.)
- Set up machines at customer sites
- Refine settings
- Diagnose and fix potential failures
Basic Qualifications
- Qualification in mechanical or electro technical engineering
Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements
- Predominant location: Ford Halewood, Liverpool
- Few trips: Preston, UK
- Punctual trips: other customers in the UK
Key Competencies
- Experience of 3 years at a similar position in an industrial environment
- Good skills with hand tools, power tools and good practices for mechanical, pneumatic and electric assembly
- SolidWorks CAD software only for visualisation
- Forklift driving license / MEWP driving license / Working at height permit
