Pay: $26.00/hr.
As a Certified Nursing Assistant - Teacher Assistant, you will play a critical role in implementing skills training programs for students, focusing on daily living skills, eating skills, mobility, leisure activities, and more. - Skills Training & Support: Implement programs that support daily living activities, individual eating skills, and mobility.
- Engage in Leisure & Educational Activities: Facilitate age-appropriate activities that promote learning and social development.
- Community Experience: Assist with planning and participating in field trips and community experience programs.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed records and documentation on students’ progress, ensuring accurate and thorough tracking of activities and goals.
- Collaborate with a Team: Work with an interdisciplinary team to plan activities, address student needs, and participate in department and unit meetings.
- Behavioral & Communication Programs: Support students through behavioral programming and communication interventions, including assistive technology and computer-based solutions.
- Personal Care & Mobility Support: Participate in the daily care and mobility programs of students, including lifting and transferring students as needed.
- High school graduate/GED required.
- Must be Certified as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) or willing to obtain certification within three months of hire.
