Position Summary
A Vice President of Sales, leads the sales department and manages all sales operations. Their duties include developing sales department strategies, training staff and setting sales goals. A successful VP of Sales knows how to manage all aspects of sales operations. Their main duty is to ensure sales revenues meet or exceed goals to keep the company profitable.
Responsibilities
- Traveling up to 50% of the time
 - Managing all sales team members and processes
 - Setting sales goals and quotas
 - Creating the sales department budget
 - Producing sales forecasts and reports
 - Researching the market and competitors
 - Training, mentoring and motivating the sales team
 - Collaborating with the marketing department to develop effective promotional materials
 - Building relationships with customers
 
Minimum Qualifications
· MBA/Undergrad
· Managed teams of 20+ people
· Worked with Fortune 500 IT companies
· Minimum experience of 10 years in client facing, enterprise account sales in $100M+ Annual Sales Revenues
· Strategic sales knowledge with ability to negotiate long-term agreements directly with clients
· Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work independently
· Strong relationship building skills and can prospect and qualify new opportunities with a comfort level required to sell to executives
· Ability to work effectively in a constantly changing fast growth environment
· A desire to travel a minimum of 50%
