What Will You Do?:In this position, you will provide a quality and timely review of medical bills for Property & Casualty Claims. We are looking for someone who has solid judgement, analytical, and problem solving skills to utilize while reviewing and processing medical bills. This position will also service incoming calls from medical providers and third-party vendors, therefore, being customer focused with a drive to deliver courteous and professional customer service is key. Responsibilities Include:
- Processing medical bills with prescribed authority to ensure prompt and accurate payment.
- Reviewing appropriateness of billed services to support positive Company results.
- Acquiring and maintaining knowledge of statutory regulations, systems and processes.
- Responsible for auditing bill review system edits and business rules to support accurate claims' payments.
- Servicing incoming calls from medical providers and third-party vendors regarding P&C Claims support matters.
- Provide technical guidance to Claims Support Associate position, as needed.
- Establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with Federated personnel to optimize results.
Minimum Requirements:
- Two-year degree, preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year work experience utilizing medical billing or coding knowledge; or general business environment demonstrating strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
- Prefer knowledge of insurance and medical terminology.
- Excellent Microsoft Office skills including: Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent customer service telephone skills.
Range is $24.40 - $33.00 per hour. Starting salary is $24.40 per hour.
