- Plans, organizes and leads specific activities, routines and/or games for all participants.
- Leads with enthusiasm and positive motivation.
- Organizes and maintains program records including, but not limited to attendance records, rosters, etc. Manages all equipment.
- Maintains a clean and risk-free environment.
- Communicate effectively and timely with program participants. Promotes other YMCA programs by handing out brochures, answering questions, or referral to appropriate person.
- Ensures compliance with all YGS policies and standard operating procedures.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- 18 years of age with High school education or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in specialized skill preferred.
- Demonstrate advance knowledge of specialized skill.
- Excellent communication skills to engage, motivate, and effectively teach students of all levels.
- Ability to effectively use technology for programmatic needs.
- Current state approved first aid certification. *
- Current state approved CPR for the Professional Rescuer certification. *
- Knowledge of and previous experience with diverse populations (language, culture, race, physical ability, sexual orientation, etc.).
- Ability to speak any language in addition to English may be helpful.

Physical Requirements:
- Role may require standing, walking, squatting, sitting, typing, bending, reaching, twisting, repetitive hand movements, and driving.
- Hearing must be adequate to perform job duties in person, over the telephone, and in virtual meetings.
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English fluently in person, over the telephone, and in virtual meetings.
- Visual acuity must be adequate to perform job duties, including visual examination of information from printed sources and computer screens.
- Must be able to remain stationary in a sitting or standing position up to 95% of the time.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move anywhere from 5 lbs. - 50 lbs.
- Requires lifting above the shoulders occasionally
- Must have the physical ability and dexterity to perform the requisite health care service
- Requires exposure to communicable diseases, bodily fluids, medical preparations, and other conditions common to a clinic environment
- This position will spend 10-25% of time in an indoor office environment
- Requires driving and other travel up to 25% of the time. This will depend on branch needs and requirements.
- May occasionally work in outdoor weather conditions
- This position will have frequent supervision.
- The regular weekly schedule for this position may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends based on business need and branch operational hours.
- Position may occasionally require some evenings or weekends to meet job requirements
- Working conditions will vary depending on branch needs and facility courts.
