We are seeking a Sr. Research Data Analyst who will build complex data models and conduct complex data analysis in support of research projects, programs, and/or studies. The Sr. Research Data Analyst is responsible for the coordination of data and data analysis activities across multiple studies. This position is responsible for leading a specific gene-environment interaction analytic project for our GEARS autism center of excellence.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop, manage, and database of survey data from multi-site study.
 - Develop standard operating procedures for initial data entry and data updates.
 - Oversee quality control procedures for database and ongoing analysis.
 - Develop data models.
 - Conduct statistical analyses of data collected in this system to support empirical study.
 - Build transmission models.
 - Create and curate software tools across diverse programming languages in support of research efforts.
 - Other duties as assigned.
 
In Addition to the Duties Listed Above
- Derive polygenic risk scores from large extant genome-wide genotyping datasets.
 - Clearly summarize and present findings at team meetings.
 - Prepare written reports of statistical analyses, including relevant statistical theory, references, methods, results, and conclusions, to contribute to scientific publications.
 - Collaborate with a network of scientists and staff to address research questions involving the analysis of genetic and environmental risk hypotheses.
 
Minimum Qualifications
- Master's Degree in related field.
 - One-year of related experience.
 - Highly specialized advanced knowledge, education and/or training in a specialized field of study to conduct research.
 
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in a related field.
 
- Genetic epidemiology or statistical genetics training and experience.
 - Experience performing analyses on a high-performance compute cluster, utilizing parallelization and multi-threading, and mastery of the R statistical language.
 - Experience in neurodevelopmental outcomes and prenatal exposures.
