We are looking for a talented PRODUCT SYSTEMS VALIDATION TECHNICAL SPECIALIST to join our team specializing in ENGIEERING for Atmus Filtration Technologies.
Location- Stoughton WI. Onsite with some flexibility per the hiring managers discretion. (this role will be more onsite than hybrid but does have the ability to be hybrid 1 day a week)
This product focused position verifies and validates the functionality of Atmus’ products across a wide range of customer requirements, across a variety of applications, in various environments.
This work plans, tracks, and evaluates results from a wide range of analyses and functional tests to assess product risk and performance.
These results are expected to drive quality decisions and proactively resolve product issues before the product reaches the customer.
Responsibilities
Obtains input and negotiates with Design Verification Plan and Report (DVP&R) stakeholders to define technical requirements and delivers an optimized subsystem-based analytical and experimental verification plan to the program or project team.
Makes decisions in the areas of verification and validation that impact product performance, reliability, and durability.
Investigates and addresses potential system concerns or issues, understands causal mechanisms, recommends appropriate action, owns problem resolution and documents results with guidance from more experienced team members.
Applies and improves processes such as technical requirements, iDFMEA, Engineering Standard Work (ESW), DVP&R optimization, test standards, and problem solving and tools such as Integrity, Microsoft Power BI, and McParts required to support the processes and enable high quality decision making.
Provides independent leadership of smaller business impact projects or ownership of complex components, products, systems or services with greater elements of ambiguity over the senior or lead engineer level and with full accountability to the project team.
Delivers independent execution of established and emerging work processes and systems, while still developing technology or product knowledge.
Leads the development and improvement of work processes and systems across a functional discipline area within a business unit site.
Coordinates and directs work amongst technicians and temporary student employees, assists in the transfer of knowledge to lesser experienced engineers through either indirect (scope of influence) or direct management of a small, local group of engineers.
Provides support and guidance to influence technical direction within a project team and continues to develop proficiency in the competency areas critical to success in the role.
Operates as a recognized specialist in a discipline or product area within the immediate team.
Qualifications
College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other relevant technical disciplines is required. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
**Must have 3-5years of experience in product design in Automotive industry **
Preferred candidates should have below experience
- Diesel engine systems and interfaces as applied to crankcase ventilation systems and development
- Design for Six Sigma (DFSS) tools and processes to reduce failure rates and variability in product design
- Executing & finalizing DVPR tests for Filtration technology & create Technical reports
Base salary range: $97,977 to $108,862 / year
Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.
