As a Product Line Manager for Cascade Designs, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of product lines across the full scope of the value chain, from concept through commercialization.  This role will support the Director of Product Line Management responsible for building and optimizing product lines that drive product innovation, business growth, and consumer value. This is achieved by leading and aligning cross-functional team activity in the timely and effective execution of those projects while meeting gate requirements of the PDIP process.  They will also facilitate our manufacturing continuous improvement projects and various other projects from start to end.


Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:

    Develop a multi-year strategic roadmap for assigned categories, ensuring alignment with company objectives and brand identity 

    Leverage internal data and market trends to inform new product development.

    Lead seasonal product line planning, managing line architecture, lifecycle decisions, and SKU optimization, with an emphasis on cross functional transparency

    Maintain category line lists, visual line plans, and stage gate presentations with accurate and complete information. 


Product Creation & Go-To-Market

    Ownership of product briefs including target consumer, key features, performance requirements, financial targets and opportunities for innovation.

    Partner with Design, Development, Souring, and Manufacturing teams to guide product concepts from concept through commercialization.

    Collaborate with Sales to drive product positioning, forecasting, style adoption, and key sell-in tools to support. 

    Partner closely with Marketing to manage product packaging, copy, names, and visual assets, ensuring technical accuracy and product positioning. 

    Collaborate with Cross-Functional teams to deliver on-time, on-cost, and on-brand launches.

Market & Consumer Insight

    Conduct competitive analysis, consumer research, and market performance reviews to guide decisions.

    Champion consumer insights across the organization and translate data into actionable strategies.

    Stay current on outdoor industry trends, sustainability advancements, material innovations, and regulatory requirements.

Financial & Business Performance

    Own product line financial performance including revenue, margin, and profitability targets.

    Develop and manage pricing strategies and competitive positioning.

    Collaborate with Planning & Operations teams to forecast demand and manage inventory health.

    Partner with Development & Engineering Teams to identify and budget for necessary capital expenditures

    Drive sell-in initiatives by supporting Sales & Marketing teams at sales meetings, tradeshows, key account meetings, and consumer events 

Qualifications: 

    Bachelor’s degree in Business, Product Design, Marketing, or a related field 

    4+ years of experience in a similar position.

    High level strategic planning ability

    Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills

    Computer experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

    Strong problem-solving skills and the capacity to navigate complex technical challenges.

    Deep understanding of outdoor consumers, technical gear, and premium product positioning.

    Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills.

    Proficiency in PLM systems, Excel, and data-driven decision making.
