Overview:

Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring a full-time Scheduling Coordinator to join our team at Kennedy Space Center in Merritt Island, Florida. As a scheduling coordinator, you will work closely with management on scheduling needs and be responsible for creating weekly schedules, maintaining daily schedules, and overseeing associate attendance records. This appointment scheduler role also handles cash variances and resolves and responds to associate questions and concerns.

Unit Description:

The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex is the visitor center at NASA's Kennedy Space Center in Florida. We offer our team members discounted meals, wellness rewards programs, and a 4-week on-the-job training program. Friends and family perks include up to 12 complimentary tickets with 4 parking passes per year to share. Additionally, team members receive 5 visits per year with up to 3 guests for visits at discounted rates to other popular Florida attractions.

Responsibilities:
  • Follow collective bargaining agreement scheduling requirements and standard operating procedures.
  • Coordinate associate schedules and advise associates on policies, procedures, and work duties.
  • Approve and track vacation, call-outs, and sick time; enter schedules into the timekeeping system.
  • Monitor and assess attendance trends; anticipate the staffing needs of the operational departments.
  • Works with HR in tracking employee restrictions and maintains attendance records and cash variances of all team members.
  • Coordinate team members' training.
  • Advise management about the development of bid schedules and adjustments while ensuring adherence to the collective bargaining agreement.
  • Accurately plan bid periods based on attendance changes for the year.
  • Assists Human Resources with FMLA, LOA, and RTW elements.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 21 years old. 
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Human Resources, or Business preferred.
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred. 
  • Experience with PeopleSoft, Excel, and Shift Time Manager systems preferred.
  • Excellent associate relations skills and verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to drive yourself to a remote work location where public transportation is not available and you will be asked to show NASA credentials for entry.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to consistently stand, bend, stoop, and kneel and lift up to 35lbs if needed.
