Job Description

Job Summary

Leadership position responsible for overseeing loan originations administration processes, implementing strategic initiatives, and managing teams to deliver exceptional results. Partners with internal and external stakeholders to manage risk, optimize processes, improve customer satisfaction, and maintain compliance across all loan originations operations.

Job Duties

  • Leads and oversees loan originations administration operations, including title maintenance, lien perfection, records management and title release. Ensures all loan originations activities from application submission to funding are compliant with company policies and state and federal law.

  • Implements strategic initiatives, including workflow optimization, process improvements, and establishing operational policy and procedure to improve the quality of loan applications and reduce cycle times.

  • Manages and leads loan origination managers and staff, providing mentorship, feedback, and support to foster a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth for all staff within their organization.

  • Develops and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs), service level agreements (SLAs), and other metrics within loan originations administration to evaluate risk, service quality, compliance, and operational efficiency. Regularly presents key findings and recommendations to senior leadership to drive data-informed decision making.

  • Oversees the timely resolution of complex loan origination issues, escalations, and discrepancies by serving as an escalation authority and collaborating with stakeholders to implement solutions.

  • Works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams (e.g., Legal, Compliance, Credit, Funding) to solve operational challenges and ensure loan originations services and activities exceed expectations.

  • Drives documentation standards and record-keeping for all loan origination activities, supporting internal audits and regulatory reviews. Supports the development of internal policies and procedures.

  • Manages and maintains relationships with originations third-party vendors to drive performance and enforce contracts and invoice reconciliation.

Education and Work Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent; degree preferred

  • Work Experience: 12+ years relevant experience, 6+ years leadership experience

  • Extensive experience in loan originations, loan servicing, or a related field, with in-depth knowledge of loan origination processes, compliance regulations, and industry best practices.

  • Proven leadership experience, with a strong ability to manage, develop, and inspire all staff within their organization to achieve operational excellence and meet performance targets.

  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements governing loan originations, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, and other state and federal laws.

  • Advanced knowledge of loan origination systems, document management tools, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and technology solutions that support the origination process.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to establish written procedures and engage effectively with senior leadership, internal teams, and external partners.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to track and report on key metrics, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve performance and make informed strategic decisions in fast-paced environments.

  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and initiatives simultaneously with high attention to detail while maintaining a focus on service excellence and operational performance.

  • Strong understanding of data privacy and security requirements to ensure the proper handling of information.

  • Working knowledge of general and fund accounting and business practices to effectively manage and stay within budgets.

  • Ability to conduct site visits with third-party vendors as needed.
