Position Title: Contract Specialist (Support Services)
Location: REMOTE
Position Type: Full-Time
Rate: $49.51 per hour
Work Hours: Monday–Friday, 8 hours/day between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM MT; core hours 9:00 AM–3:00 PM MT
Position Overview:
The Contract Specialist will provide acquisition and contract administration support for large-scale design and construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct acquisition planning and market research
- Prepare solicitation documents, amendments, and assist with proposal evaluations
- Support source selection and negotiation activities
- Perform cost/price analysis and document fair and reasonable pricing
- Prepare award packages and post-award documentation
- Administer contracts, including modifications and closeouts
- Maintain electronic contract files and resolve payment issues
- Ensure compliance with FAR, DIAR, and agency-specific systems (FPDS, PRISM, FBMS)
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, law, public administration, or related field (24 semester hours in business or FAC-C equivalent)
- Experience:
- 5 years of federal government contracting experience
- 5 years of construction contracting experience
- 3 years of architect-engineer services contracting experience
- Ability to obtain HSPD-12 PIV card and pass background/security clearance
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition regulations and systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
- Professionalism in handling sensitive information and maintaining contractor status
Work Environment & Conditions:
- No travel required
- Must complete IT security training and adhere to NPS network access policies
Security Requirements:
- Must comply with Department of Interior citizenship and clearance policies
- Completion of IT Security Awareness Training and Rules of Behavior required

- Timely and quality delivery of assigned tasks
- Minimal corrections required
- Professional communication and teamwork
