Position Overview: The Senior Wellness Clinician-Licensed, in close collaboration with the Director, helps to oversee program operations and also provides direct services for individuals who are experiencing a mental health or co-occurring issue or a worsening of pre-existing mental health or co-occurring disorder. Helps to oversee the provision of evidence-based, trauma informed outpatient therapy services offered on-site or via telehealth, as per the preference of the person served, provided by the clinicians on the team for adults with serious emotional disturbance, serious mental illness, and co-occurring disorder. This position will act as a secondary point person to the BCIS Director and VP of Outpatient Services. Ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and regulations.

Essential Job Functions

o Create and maintain a wellness and recovery-oriented environment by using respectful, person-first language, documentation, and interactions.

o Maintain a culture of compliance with internal and external policies, regulations, laws and high ethical standards.

o Complete initial risk assessment for initial treatment assessment and initial plan which may include warm handoff to any discipline.

o Complete intake assessment, DSM-V diagnosis, goal planning, treatment, crisis stabilization, linkage, and discharge planning services for individuals with MH and COD, inclusive of substance abuse and medical disorders. Ongoing risk assessment is conducted with each consumer to assess suicidal and/or homicidal ideation w/ clinically indicated follow up.

o MH and co-occurring treatment and education to consumers and significant others, focusing on evidence-based, trauma informed care.

o Crisis intervention for persons served with acute psychiatric needs whose circumstances and conditions may require rapid intervention. Therapeutic Interventions may include but are not limited to: MI, CBT, DBT, Crisis Stabilization and De-Escalation, Trauma Informed Care, Self-Regulation, Psychoeducation, and other interventions that may be clinically indicated.

o Provide evidence-based individual or group therapy services on-site or via telehealth.

o Family involvement as requested to provide psychoeducation and support.

o Work collaboratively with APN’s and Psychiatrists in providing Medication Education to persons served.

o Responding after hours to persons served in crisis on an as needed basis and ensuring a warm handoff to an acute setting for crisis stabilization.

o In collaboration with person served, develop and implement treatment plan to include Needs and Strengths Comprehensive Assessment, Collaborative Goal/ Discharge Planning, Short-term Solution Focused therapy, Individual Therapy, Individual and Family Psychoeducation, collaborative documentation, and Trauma Informed Care.

o Will be trained in and will provide culturally competent services which address the diverse needs of the population served and as identified on the community needs assessment.

o Provide clinical supervision to provisionally licensed clinicians on team.

o Review treatment plans for both content and compliance and ensure that treatment plans are reflected in the progress notes.

o Work closely with BCIS Director in the implementation and oversight of clinical best practices, both in services provided and in documentation.

o Participate in organization and outside provider meetings, especially in lieu of BCIS Director not being available.

o Responsible for the day-to-day operation, along with supporting staff. Oversight of utilization of agency equipment and resources.

o Collection and monitoring of outcomes, compliance, utilization, and other quality assurance data pertinent to the program, along with assisting in the submission of any required reports.

o Participates in Quality Assurance Committee and Utilization Review Committee as needed.

Assists in orienting new staff and interns.

Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

• Master’s degree and LCSW, LPC or LMFT, LCADC or CADC preferred.

• CCS (Certified Clinical Supervisor) preferred.

• CPR certified

• Bilingual Spanish, preferred.

• Certification to provide clinical supervision required.

Experience:

• Five years paid progressive work experience with adults, children, or adolescents who have BH, COD, and / or SUD issues, preferably in an Outpatient or Community Mental Health Setting. Knowledge of community self-help SUD programs preferred.

Driver’s License, Vehicle:

• Valid driver’s license required.

• No more than one moving violation within the past 12 months

• Vehicle required

Salary: $78k-$81k

Schedule: Monday-Friday or Tuesday-Saturday
