The Office of Student Experience is seeking an energetic, dependable, and passionate Retail Manager to join the Susie’s team. This student-run store offers a dynamic environment where the Retail Manager plays a vital role in shaping both the online and in-store shopping experience. The Retail Manager must demonstrate strong leadership skills to guide a team, meet objectives, and collaborate with campus constituents to design and promote merchandise. This role provides valuable experience in retail operations, marketing, leadership, and strategic planning—ideal for students looking to build transferable skills for any career path.
Key Responsibilities:
Work directly with the Vice President of Student Experience to create monthly sales goals, promotional opportunities, and merchandising strategies.
Provide leadership to all Retail Assistants, including training on store procedures, scheduling, and setting expectations.
Collaborate with Creative Ink to develop concept designs based on determined themes.
Coordinate photo shoots of new merchandise for social media and website content.
Coordinate with the Vice President of Student Experience on merchandise and vendor selection.
Operate and maintain knowledge of Point-of-Sale (POS) systems, preferably Shopify.
Maintain an organized stock room and ensure accurate inventory control.
Perform other duties as assigned to support store operations.
