Description
Reporting to the VP HR and leading one direct report, the position will be the key HR role for Arlon’s Placentia, CA location (Senior Human Resources Manager or Human Resources Director title, based on background, experience and overall qualifications and position fit).

Position Overview
This position is responsible for partnering with the assigned internal stakeholders, as well as supporting and contributing to the creation, improvement and follow up of various Human Resources programs at Arlon. Contributes to the achievement of HR priorities of strengthening talent capability, compliance, increasing effectiveness, and building a respectful, inclusive, collaborative, and value-based culture.
Essential duties and responsibilities
- Contribute to organizing workflow, tasks, and performance from an HR/people perspective, focusing on quality deliverables, speed of execution and continuous process improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with external (contractors, vendors) and internal (management, employees) clients.
- Manage the Talent Acquisition process, with elements such as, but not limited to, intake meeting with recruiting manager, review, and document job descriptions, posting jobs, sourcing, interviewing, assessing, coordinating interviews for other stakeholders, extending employment offers, processing pre-employment screenings/background check, maintaining HRIS/ATS, on boarding, new hire announcements.
- Manage HR compliance requirements for assigned location.
- Partner with Senior Management and provide valuable solutions to business and people matters.
- Manage employee relations in assigned areas of responsibility, including, but not limited to, management and employee coaching and guidance, disciplinary issues, written warnings, training, coaching, and employment on boarding and exit.
- Effectively supports employees in the assigned areas of responsibility on HR matters, acting as a business partner and change management leader. Employs consultative, coaching, HR, and business management skills as appropriate to the matter.
- Participates in HR initiatives and projects of various degrees of complexity, as assigned.
- Works collaboratively with HR team members, espouses teamwork.
- Maintains documentation for all assigned areas of responsibility.
- Manages and reports metrics for all assigned areas of responsibility.
- Promote safety and operational excellence.
- Manages other HR team members, as assigned. Builds mutual trust; holds direct reports accountable for results; coaches and supports, while providing autonomy and avoiding micro-management.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Management, Business, or another related field.
- Minimum fifteen (15) years’ Human Resources experience, with minimum five (5) years’ recent directly applicable senior-level experience; possesses skills and technical knowledge to perform job competently.
- Microsoft Office ® proficiency and working knowledge of minimum two HRIS programs.
- Strong communication skills in the English language (verbal, written, listening, written, presentation, inter-personal).
- Confident individual, who takes initiative, leads and “gets the job done” with a growth mindset.
- Mature decision making (demonstrates empathy, wisdom, self-control, patience, and an understanding of the short and long-term consequences for oneself and others. Clear thinking, emotional regulation, responsibility and consideration of multiple perspectives before acting).

Additional Considerations/not required:
- Experience in the manufacturing industry.
- Additional formal education beyond bachelor’s degree level.
- Bi-lingual Spanish.
- PHR, PHR-CA, SPHR, or SPHR-CA active certification.
Pay Transparency:
Base pay rate for this position starts at $120,000, and will depend upon position level, professional background, education and experience. If hired, employment will be at will. The Company reserves the right to modify pay, as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation program, at any time.
