Orthopedic Hand Surgeon, Burlington & Peabody, MA
Join Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, a member of Lahey Health, as a highly skilled and passionate Hand Surgeon to join our team of medical professionals, consisting of 19 providers that include surgeons specializing in General Orthopedics, Adult Reconstruction, Foot & Ankle, Sports, Oncology, Trauma & Fracture Care, and Medical Podiatry, and is supported by the expertise of Advanced Practitioners. In this role, you will focus on providing specialized care in hand and upper extremity for adult patients, bringing a strong clinical background, a commitment to education, and an interest in research.
Hand Surgeon Responsibilities & Duties:
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and develop treatment plans for patients with hand injuries and conditions
- Conduct surgical procedures to repair or reconstruct hand injuries and conditions
- Provide post-operative care, including wound care, rehabilitation, and follow-up appointments
- Collaborate with other medical professionals, including physical therapists and nurses, to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Stay current with advancements in hand surgery and incorporate new techniques into practice
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals
Hand Surgeon Qualifications & Skills
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery and subspecialty certification in Hand Surgery
- Active medical license in good standing
- Significant experience in hand surgery, with a strong track record of successful patient outcomes
- Excellent surgical skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and education
