We’re looking for an Accountant, A/P– Payroll Specialist who’s equal parts detail-obsessed, process-driven, and people-oriented. If you love numbers, spreadsheets, and making sure everyone gets paid on time — while keeping our vendors happy — this might be your dream role. 

What You’ll Do 

Keep AP Running Smoothly (about 50%) 

• Process vendor invoices and ensure they’re approved, coded, and paid on time. 
• Manage and reconcile large volumes of credit card transactions — no detail too small. 
• Handle vendor onboarding, W-9s, and make sure we stay compliant. 
• Support the month-end close with AP accruals, reconciliations, and expense reports. 
• Keep our cash flow predictable by managing payment schedules and vendor relationships. 

Own Payroll Like a Pro (about 50%) 

• Run payroll from start to finish for a multi-state team — accurately, on time, and with all the right taxes and withholdings in place. 
• Keep employee data, deductions, and benefit details up to date and rock-solid. 
• Help with payroll setup for new hires and make sure offboarding payroll is handled smoothly. 
• Stay on top of payroll tax filings, year-end reporting (W-2s, 941s, etc.), and compliance. 
• Be the go-to resource when teammates have payroll questions. 

What You Bring 

• 5+ years of experience running payroll and managing accounts payable, ideally in a tech or SaaS environment. 
• Strong knowledge of multi-state payroll rules, tax compliance, and reporting. 
• Hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online and Paylocity. 
• Comfortable handling and reconciling high-volume credit card transactions. 
• Great Excel skills and a love for building simple, scalable processes. 
• Detail-oriented, highly organized, and known for getting things done. 
• A team player who communicates clearly and loves solving problems. 

Bonus Points 

• You’ve worked with tools like Airbase, Bill.com, Expensify, Divvy, or Ramp. 
• You’ve handled 1099s and vendor compliance. 
• You’re curious about SaaS accounting and concepts like deferred revenue or ASC 606.
