Job Description
Department: Human Resources

FLSA: Salary, Non-Exempt
Reports to: Talent Acquisition Manager
Work Location: The Woodlands, TX
Travel Required: 20%
Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; 8 a.m. – 5 p.m. (Overtime as needed)

POSITION SUMMARY: The Talent Acquisition Specialist will have a passion for the full life-cycle recruiting process. They will utilize their recruiting expertise to support the Talent Department and assist with sourcing, attracting, coordinating, and conducting interviews to find the ideal match for our company’s long-term goals. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced work environment are all vital skills needed to succeed in this role.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (The following duties and responsibilities are all essential job functions, as defined by the ADA, except for those that being with the word “May.”)
- Executes full-life cycle recruiting and employment activities, including onboarding, assessments, disciplinary actions, and transfer coordination for field employees.
- Creates and manages requisitions, assesses job specifications, identifies screening questions, and determines candidate interview approaches.
- Screens applicants, assesses their skill level/fit for roles, and routes them appropriately.
- Conducts candidate sourcing, interview coordination, extends job offers.
- May aid in coordinating drug tests and background screenings.
- Builds and maintains relationships with schools to develop a pipeline of employees and provide educational support for internal programs.
- Actively participates in career fairs, sourcing events, and projects.
- Collaborates with the Talent Acquisition Manager to develop a recruiting strategy for assigned projects.
- Serves as a liaison between hiring managers and candidates to understand hiring goals, priorities, and needs.
- Attends and participates in recruitment events, job fairs, and conferences as needed.
- Maintains and processes employee data in the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) to track candidates and job stages.
- Conducts operational and administrative portions of the hire process, including background checks, setting up drug screens, health screens, and I9 & E-Verify compliance.
- Performs other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity.
Qualifications
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
- Successfully passes all applicable general pre-employment testing including but not limited to: background check, pre-employment drug screening, pre-employment fit tests, pre-employment aptitude and/or competency assessment(s).
- Possess a valid U.S. Driver’s License.
- Daily in-person, predictable attendance.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE LEVEL
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field required, experience may be used in lieu of degree.
- A minimum of seven years of human resource management and/or progressive talent acquisition experience required.
- Paycom experienced highly desirable.

The Talent Acquisition Specialist works indoors in an office setting, primarily sitting for extended periods of time at a desk station, keyboarding and using repetitive motions with wrists, hands, and or fingers. Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus while reading and staring at computer monitor. They will also need to speak clearly and audibly, as well as have the ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and /or other sounds (e.g., building alarms) deriving from in person speech, telephone, or other remote speech. No adverse environmental conditions are expected. While in the office, the Talent Acquisition Specialist may be called upon to stand, kneel, push, pull, reach overhead, stoop, crouch, climb, and lift; therefore, they should be able to lift 25 lbs. independently.
Work hours may include or includes early morning, late evenings, and weekends, depending on business necessity.
