How will you make an impact in this role?

The Financial Crimes Fraud Referral Team collaborates with the Fraud organization to identify new and emerging fraud threats to be referred to the Financial Crimes organization for review and potential SAR filing through regular meetings.  Using information from the collaboration, the team will create and update an assessment to capture the fraud typology and required fraud cases to be referred.  The team will work with the Fraud organization, the rule build team and the investigations teams to provide all referral information required for a Financial Crimes investigation and ensure investigators are made aware of new fraud typologies being referred.  In addition, the team will continually test to ensure that all identified fraud types are being referred to the Financial Crimes organization and the referral streams are complete and accurate.
Other attributes that the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate are:

• At least three years’ experience working with fraud investigations as part of a fraud organization or Financial Crimes SAR filing process
• Experience identifying patterns of Fraud trends across products, channels or geographies
• Ability to explore deeper in discussions with partner teams to draw out complexities that may not be apparent in the initial discussion
• Ability to explain complex concepts in an Assessment for a wide audience
• Presentation skills to senior leaders in the organization
• A control mindset that can develop tests to ensure all processes are working correctly

• Deep understanding of how core banking. Payments, and card systems work
• Strong grasp of regulatory requirements around fraud and financial crimes
• Manage a team of 1-2 Analysts
  

Preferred but not required skills would be:

• Fraud related certifications such as Certified Anti-Fraud specialist or Certified Fraud Examiner
• Basic SQL programming skills to pull data samples
•  Excel advanced data analysis skills
