Studio Executive, Penguin Studios

Our team ensures every recording session runs seamlessly, and every audiobook leaves the studio sounding its absolute best. The role
Once the recording wraps, the magic of post-production begins — and that’s where you come in. As Studio Executive, you’ll manage post-production for a share of our audiobook output, overseeing editing, mastering, and delivery alongside our Senior Sound Editor and Head of Production. You’ll also lead the invoicing and payments process for all Penguin Studios suppliers and freelancers, making sure everything runs efficiently behind the scenes.
The role also plays a key part in the hospitality that defines Penguin Studios — ensuring every guest, reader and producer feels welcome and supported during their time with us.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage post-production for a portion of our audiobook output, including editing, mastering and delivery.
- Own and manage the invoicing process for Penguin Studios, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
- Work with the Studio Manager to ensure producers and guests have an exemplary experience in the studios.
- Coordinate production credit scripts, ensuring they’re ready for each week’s recording sessions.
- Support the Studio Manager with production scheduling and coordination as needed.
- Manage recording and delivery of credits for audiobook buy-ins and additional marketing content.
- Provide basic proofing and editing support in ProTools where required (training will be provided)
- Support remote records by arranging couriers for home studio equipment.
- Take part in the studio open/close rota with the wider team.
- Handle hospitality and logistics, including lunches, refreshments and book orders for guests and authors

- Demonstrable project management experience and/or experience in a coordinator role.

- Comfortable working with high-profile guests and colleagues across teams.
- Genuine interest in audiobook production and the world of publishing.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Salary
Circa £30,000 dependent on how your skills and experience align to the role, plus bonus and benefits.
Hybrid working
While our offices across the UK are places to connect, collaborate and celebrate with colleagues, we recognise that flexibility around where you work is just as important. This role is based primarily at Embassy Gardens, London, with flexibility for some hybrid working as agreed with the team.
