The role you'll contribute:
Performs a wide range of minimally invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures using advanced imaging guidance to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. Working closely with radiologists, nurses, and other care team members, the IR technologist supports patient safety, procedural efficiency, and imaging quality while ensuring adherence to radiation safety and infection control protocols.
The value you'll bring to the team:
Positions patients and equipment appropriately, and operates fluoroscopy and imaging systems to capture high-quality, real-time images for accurate guidance.
Prepares and administers contrast agents as directed, following safety protocols and monitoring for adverse reactions.
Participates in time-out and procedural verification processes, ensuring correct patient identification, procedure, and site.
Supports inventory and supply management, including checking expirations dates, stocking of supplies, and notifying appropriate personnel of shortages.
The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:
Minimum qualifications:
High School Grad or Equiv
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS)
MRT with Texas Medical Board
Preferred qualifications:
Interventional Radiology experience highly preferred
Associate's Degree in Radiology Technology
