Position Summary

Responsible for identifying materials per print, moving materials throughout shop and operating horizontal band saw all in a safe and timely manner.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC horizontal band saw;
  • Change out blades and setup machine properly;
  • Maintain minimal-to-no rework or scrap;
  • Operate fork trucks and overhead cranes safely;
  • Keep work area clean and organized; and
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills

  • Able to read metric and standard tape measure;
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints;
  • Basic computer skills;
  • High attention to detail and quality;
  • Must work well under pressure;
  • Good team player with organizational and time management skills;
  • Able to operate fork trucks and overhead cranes safely; and
  • Able to keep work area clean and organized.

Environmental, Health and Safety

  • Understand the Company’s EHS Policy and how it relates to this job;
  • Be aware of OSHA & EPA laws and regulations as well as company rules and policies that pertain to this job;
  • Work in a safe and environmentally friendly manner and observe all company EHS procedures;
  • Immediately notify the supervisor if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly or if there are any questions regarding EHS procedures, and

  • Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate; temperature in the assembly area may fluctuate with the seasons as the production area is not air conditioned.
