LP Delivery Driver:
Company Profile: Premier Cooperative has set standards of excellence for agricultural and energy-related products. It’s the team at Premier working together that makes the brand that sets us apart. We are a grain and energy coop in central Illinois focused on customer service. Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent. Class A or B CDL license. Basic truck driving skills. Basic knowledge of refined fuels and LP preferred, but can be trained.
Job Summary: The purpose of this job is to ensure timely and efficient delivery of LP fuell, to commercial energy and farm accounts. Support the energy sales team with servicing current and prospective customers. Receive, track and bill inventory. The role is based out of the Greenfield, IL area and services a 50–75-mile radius.
Reports to / Supervision: Energy Manager
Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned):
• Greet all customers promptly and courteously to provide the quality of service that maintains customers at the highest level possible.
• Deliver LP to customers in the assigned service area.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• Perform daily vehicle and equipment Maintenance.
• Responsible for customer and employee safety and for following all company safety policies
• Adheres to all company credit policies and procedures.
• Assure product is billed upon delivery through on-board truck computer.
• Generates and communicates leads to enhance and grow customer base.
• Wear clean, approved company uniforms and maintain a professional personal appearance in order to present a professional image.
• Coordinates service schedules (i.e., deliveries, etc.).
• Ability to communicate effectively in order to provide customers with product and service information.
• Ability to pass and maintain the required D.O.T. physical, drug, and alcohol screen.
• Basic mechanical and driving skills are necessary to operate and maintain petroleum equipment and facilities.
• Ability to organize duties in order to effectively schedule route deliveries and maintain equipment and facilities.
• Ability to work independently.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Successfully adhere to safety rules and company policies and procedures. EHS, OSHA and DOT policies and procedures must be always adhered to.
