Join the StandardAero Houston team as an A&P Mechanic (Licensed Mechanic III) supporting maintenance and inspection of business aviation aircraft. In this role, you’ll perform detailed airframe maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on a variety of corporate jet platforms including Learjet, Embraer, Hawker, Challenger, and Falcon. You’ll work a 2nd shift schedule (currently running Tuesday–Friday, 1:30 PM–12:00 AM) in a collaborative, high-performance MRO environment where safety, precision, and teamwork drive success.
What You’ll Do
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on business jet airframes and systems.
• Remove and reinstall turbofan and turboprop engines for inspection and maintenance.
• Conduct operational checks, engine runs, and leak checks to verify serviceability.
• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, landing gear, flight control, and other airframe systems.
• Evaluate removed components for serviceability; document and resolve discrepancies.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, blueprints, and technical data.
• Perform fuel tank sealing and other specialized structural tasks as required.
• Accomplish Service Bulletins, Repair Letters, and Airworthiness Directives in accordance with FAA and OEM standards.
• Document all work performed clearly, accurately, and in compliance with StandardAero procedures.
• Adhere to all safety, environmental, and quality standards in a professional MRO setting.
Position Requirements
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License.
• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience performing airframe maintenance on corporate or business aviation aircraft (Learjet, Embraer, Hawker, Challenger, Falcon).
• Available to work 2nd shift (Tuesday–Friday, 1:30 PM–12:00 AM), with flexibility for overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret OEM maintenance manuals and schematic diagrams.
• Able to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in physically demanding conditions.
Preferred Characteristics
• Experience in an MRO or military depot environment.
• Factory-authorized training on assigned aircraft or engines.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and technical skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Proven ability to work independently while supporting team goals.
