This role is remote, however, there are seasonal travel requests that come up a few times a year.
Seeking an Accountant/ Cost Estimator to join our Business Growth & Development team.
This role is covering an LOA, so it is slated for 3 months, however, could be extended.
Job Summary
This Team member will be responsible for assisting in preparing the cost estimation for bids primarily in food, janitorial and security guard services. This position will report to the Director of Business Development and work with the Business Development team. Job Duties will include:
Preparing pricing by reviewing proposal requirements, collecting the necessary pricing-related information, and collaborating with the Operations department to create the most accurate cost estimation. Identifies labor, material, and time requirements by studying the past bids and the current available data. Computes costs by analyzing labor, material, and time requirements.
This role would work closely with trade specific subject matter experts in Food, Security, and Janitorial services in order to determine labor and supply requirements.
- Meet with the internal teams and clients to discuss the scope and scale of the bid
- Gather information on labor, material and other financial factors like taxes, insurances, etc.
- Identify factors affecting costs, such as production time, materials, and labor
- Collaborate with the internal team for the operational input needed for the specific services
- Consult with the other departments to collect the most current and accurate data
- Calculate cost estimates
- Provide basis of estimates and analyze cost trends
- Recommend ways to reduce costs
- Maintain records of the cost estimation and the process
- Prepare and present the cost estimates to the internal team and clients
- Review past cost estimations and the current financial data to analyze for best pricing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
- Requires a minimum of 1 year cost estimation and/or accounting experience
- Requires experience with Salesforce
- Experience in a food/janitorial/security staffing preferred but not required.
- Advanced competency in Excel
- Strong business acumen, organizational skills and attention to detail
- Experience in security, janitorial or food services operations preferred
- Travel may be required

Pay: $64,971.11 - $78,244.77 per year
