As a Product Designer II at Disney, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual and user experience of our streaming platform, Disney+. This early career position is crucial in maintaining Disney's reputation as a leading-edge entertainment company, where innovation and storytelling are at the core. You will work within a collaborative and strategic team environment, contributing to the creation of world-class artwork that enhances the user experience for millions globally. Success in this role requires strong problem-solving skills, an independent work ethic, and the ability to communicate complex information effectively.
Responsibilities:
- Create exceptional original artwork packages and title treatment designs for new titles.
- Ideate and concept creative ways to leverage artwork in innovative and unexpected ways.
- Regularly receive and provide creative feedback to guide early concepts and polish final executions.
- Champion artwork design to improve and drive audience engagement.
- Coordinate with program managers to kickoff, progress, and deliver creative projects.
- Communicate creative concepts, aesthetic choices, and visual execution effectively with peers.
- Maintain a solid understanding of product design specifications and guidelines.
- Collaborate and build strong working relationships across The Walt Disney Company.
Basic Qualifications:
- A minimum of 2-years experience designing successful consumer experiences in a fast-paced, product-centric environment.
- Strong knowledge of and passion for typography.
- Exceptional photo compositing and illustration ability.
- Proven track record in creating wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and specs.
- Proficiency in creating and prototyping design using Figma.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Computer Science, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in designing for Living Room devices (e.g., TV UI/UX) or Mobile devices (e.g., iOS, Android).
- Experience in leading usability testing studies and synthesizing user feedback into measurable product decisions.
- Professional experience with creating and managing digital content assets in the media/entertainment industry for mobile, web, and TV.
The hiring range for this position in Glendale and Burbank, CA is $104,600 - $140,200 per year based on a 40-hour work week. The amount of hours scheduled per week may vary based on business needs. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.Job Posting Segment:
