Job Summary: 

The Distribution Center and Logistics Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a three-shift warehouse. This role ensures smooth logistics execution, team leadership, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards, driving both operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervisory Duties:

  • Ensure compliance with industry, quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.
  • Enforce training requirements for equipment operators per EHS guidelines.
  • Train warehouse team members to meet customer and operational requirements.
  • Safeguard confidential company, supplier, and customer information.
  • Lead employee-related activities including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and development planning.
  • Serve as mentor and manage employee certifications and hands-on training.

Operational Duties:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations across all shifts, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
  • Drive customer order fill rate to exceed 93% and maintain minimal late order values.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and implement corrective actions to resolve complaints and returns.
  • Develop, track, and analyze operational metrics and KPIs to identify trends and drive improvement.
  • Manage document control for exports and month-end processes in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Control budget, monitor overtime, purchasing, and invoice accuracy.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality and Environmental Management Systems and relevant trade regulations (e.g., NAFTA/USMCA).
  • Support containment and resolution of nonconforming products and associated documentation (RID).
  • Lead and participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to TS customer requirements.

 Required Experience, Skills & Competencies:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 5 years’ supervisory experience in materials or distribution, preferably in an Auto OE or manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus.
  • Proven leadership and organizational abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-focused with excellent service orientation.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and warehouse management systems.
  • Team player who can also work independently.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit and work on a computer for extended periods
  • Frequent standing, walking, reaching, and occasional stair climbing
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
