General Description:

Responsible for overseeing events and coordinating with all relevant departments to ensure consistent, high-level service throughout all phases of hotel events. Directly supervise the banquet servers.

• Train, supervise, and schedule banquet staff
• Supervise affected departments and team members during the execution of all meetings and/or events
• Assist with the planning, organizing, and execution of all banquet functions
• Supervise banquet rooms set-up and clean-up
• Greet clients in charge and respond to requests
• Communicate with staff about event particulars and expectations
• Supervise all assigned side work to include replenishing condiments and restocking banquet cabinet supplies
• Supervise general cleaning tasks using standard hotel products as assigned to adhere to health standards
• Maintain control over inventory of china, glass and silver

Job Requirements:

• Must have a current food handlers permit
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time
• Previous restaurant service experience is a plus
• Must be able to lift and carry 25 pounds
