Primary Purpose
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION
Exelon’s marketing communications team is charged with creating strategic, innovative brand, advertising and marketing communications plans and materials. The marketing communications specialist position supports Exelon’s companywide brand strategy, advertising and integrated marketing communications. The position also is responsible to consult on enhancement and maintenance of the corporate website, exeloncorp.com, including content, design and measurement, and assists with companywide web governance. This position also manages marketing communications projects for Exelon and BSC, as well as graphic design projects that support Exelon’s brand strategy.
Primary Duties
PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES
Support Exelon's companywide brand strategy, advertising and integrated marketing communications. Includes managing execution of marketing communications projects for Exelon and BSC and providing counsel on operating company projects, including advertising, brochures, videos, presentations, posters, electronic communications, special events and other vehicles. (45%)
Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of the corporate external website, including content development and updates; consistent branding and design; ongoing web strategy; and measurement and analysis of site performance and usability (10%)
Manage graphic design work and projects that support Exelon’s brand strategy and should be handled within Corporate Communications. (30%)
Provide executional support on corporate social media, branding and advertising. (10%)
Assist in leading enterprise-wide web governance activities including involvement in the Web Governance Committee. (5%)
Job Scope
JOB SCOPE
Reports directly to the Manager of Marketing Communications and performs other marketing communications and branding duties as assigned. Must work collaboratively with other departments, especially the IT department.
Must have experience with branding and/or graphic design and be familiar with a variety of web concepts, practices, and procedures
Involves proactive communication and strategic planning, execution, project management and coordination with leadership, content owners and other departments
Web, marketing communications and project management experience required
Some travel required

Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities
4-year relevant degree and at least 2 years of communications and/or web management experience
Must be familiar with a variety of marketing communications and web concepts, practices, and procedures
Experience with branding and/or graphic design; social media experience is a plus
Knowledge of layout/design principles
High degree of interpersonal and communications (oral, written, presentation) skills
Ability to lead and manage projects independently
Ability to interact with all levels of staff including senior executives
Preferred Qualifications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Proficient in InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Acrobat and Microsoft Office Suite.
Proficient in web applications, web layout, design and usability.
Broad experience in marketing communications.

Annual salary will vary based on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and other factors: $59,200.00/Yr. – $81,400.00/Yr.
