We are seeking a Senior Associate to join the Brookfield Properties North America Office Division in New York, NY. This role will play a key role in supporting the Vice President, Construction in supporting renovation and capital construction projects across the New York City region, including planning, programming, research, and analysis from inception to completion, while coordinating with contractors, tenants, consultants, agencies, and Brookfield personnel. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator with strong organizational skills and experience managing complex projects in a collaborative, multi-stakeholder environment.
Role & Responsibilities:
Contribute to the budgeting, scoping, and strategic setup of capital projects across the portfolio
Support technical aspects of leasing, ensuring alignment with project objectives and operational standards
Oversee the construction and implementation phases of multiple concurrent projects, ensuring timely and efficient execution
Represent the organization in meetings with internal departments, architects, engineers, and consultants to define project requirements, specifications, and schedules
Conduct research and prepare comprehensive materials and presentations to facilitate project approvals from governmental agencies and utility providers
Collaborate with the Design and Development team to establish project timelines, monitor requirements, and secure necessary approvals
Lead constructability reviews to ensure design documents are practical, efficient, and aligned with project goals
Manage the solicitation, preparation, and evaluation of bid documents, and review contracts to confirm complete scope coverage
Maintain and monitor construction schedules to ensure adherence to project timelines and milestones
Serve as a liaison with construction officials, building occupants, contractors, vendors, and the public to facilitate permitting and project advancement
Provide tracking and analytical support to project leads across planning, permitting, engineering, and construction activities
Your Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent to appropriate 4-year college program
5+ years of experience in design or construction with basic understanding of all facets of building construction and processes with a fundamental understanding of at least one specific trade
Excellent attention to detail, proven analytical ability
Proven leadership skills
Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to maintain successful business relationships
Proven record of providing excellent internal and external customer service
Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to comprehend, analyze and interpret complex business documents
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive issues

Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Type: Exempt
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $170,000 – 185,000

Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Dental Plan
Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Retirement: 401(k)
