As a Senior Lawyer in our Serious Injury Team, you will handle a portfolio of complex, high-value multi-track cases involving catastrophic injuries such as brain and spinal trauma, amputations, and severe orthopaedic injuries. These often arise from serious road traffic collisions, workplace incidents, or public liability accidents.
In addition to managing your own caseload, you will play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior members of the team, offering technical guidance and supporting their professional development. You will also contribute to the wider strategic and operational goals of the department, sharing best practice, overseeing case quality, and assisting in business development initiatives.
You will lead cases from instruction through to trial or settlement, developing litigation strategy, instructing counsel and experts, and participating in JSMs, ADR, and court proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior litigator who wants to combine hands-on casework with meaningful leadership responsibility.
We are keen to hear from qualified solicitors or legal executives with significant experience in serious injury or catastrophic personal injury litigation. You will have a proven ability to manage complex multi-track cases with confidence and autonomy, as well as a track record of supervising or mentoring colleagues.
Alongside strong technical and procedural knowledge, you’ll demonstrate excellent judgment, leadership, and client care skills. The ability to balance high-quality case management with team oversight and collaboration is key.
You’ll need:
- Extensive experience handling complex multi-track serious injury or catastrophic injury claims
- Strong advocacy, negotiation, and case management skills
- Proven supervisory experience or an aptitude for developing others
- Excellent communication, organisation, and leadership abilities
- A commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for clients
